I was introduced to these oat cakes in Scotland whilst on vacation. I was unsure as to whether I would enjoy them, I need not have been concerned - for me it was love at first bite. They go well with strong cheese and pickled onions, alternatively they are good with a bowl of hearty soup. I also enjoy them lightly buttered.

These are probably one of the best Scottish oatcakes on the market, so it's great to have them on sale at BCS! The texture and flavour are both excellent and they make a perfect partner for a selection of cheeses or patés, or just simply with butter or to accompany a stater of soup.

I buy these and the others very often for my friend who used to live in Scotland. Many of the other makes seem to me to taste quite nasty because of the Palm Oil but these are very good and the fat used seems to be good. I can't solve Margaret's problem (see review above) I tend to break a piece off, butter it and pop it into my mouth with a piece of cheese thus making it bite size. Anyway they are very good and much appreciated here.

These oat cakes are delicious. My only gripe is that I haven't found a way to eat them with solid cheese without them crumbling at the first bite. They work fine with spread cheese or on their own as a nibble, but maybe I'm doing something wrong when I try to eat them with a slice of cheese? It's a bit frustrating, as they taste so great. Better eaten alone and not in company though!
