I am obsessed with lemon and lemon cakes. I took a chance of these Bakewells because the price was right and I'm curious how Bakewells taste since seeing them on British baking shows. It's unlike anything I am familiar with and if it had more access to it, I'd probably eat it every day. The lemon flavour isn't artificial, it's light and not too oily. It's a delicious treat midday with coffee and not too sweet at all. Such a nice change-up from coffee cakes and all.

I love lemons and the first time I saw something Kipling with lemon, I bought. Well, I bought these puds together with others I keep in the storage for an emergency. But before allowing something to enter I taste and...these puds were very good. I appreciate the balance of lemon. Lemon, you know, could be distasteful if not in the right measure, especially in a cake. In the Kipling pud, on the contrary, is equilibrate and tasteful, good for closing a nice dinner with friends.
