I agree with the previous reviewer. The alternatives you can get abroad tend to be very salty and not very meaty. Well, actually they make no claim to be meaty. I like Oxo because of its meat flavour and you can also make drinks with it - you couldn't do that with most stock cubes.

I have been using OXO cubes ever since I've been able to cook, as my Mother and Grandmother did before me. I would hate not to be able to get my OXO cubes. They do OXO cubes here in Canada made by Knorr, but they have not got the same flavour has the British OXO.
