Bassetts Mint Imperials is comparable to Mentos here in the United States. It comprises of a crisp outer shell with a soft, chewy mint center. I like how the mint flavor is not too overpowering, but they are very refreshing. Just pop one in your mouth after a meal to refresh and revitalize your mouth. These aren't my favorite mints since I have a soft spot for After Eights. But they do make a decent mint candy.
The Mint Imperials aren't bad, though they do have a slightly odd, artificial aftertaste that I wasn't expecting. The mint flavor isn't too strong, which is good. But for pure eating pleasure, I'll stick with the butter mints or Clarnico Mint Creams.
Bassetts Mint Imperials are very good minty candies to eat yourself or share with your friends. The taste is pretty mild so these are not like any throat pastilles, but instead nice chewy candies.
As delicious as these are to eat, they do also look nice and can be well used for example for decorating a gingerbread house.
