This is a very tasty extra to accompany cold meats and cheese. A very firm favourite of all the family. One particular favourite, is to put a plate of Welsh rarebit, topped with this deliciously delicately flavoured chutney, Albert and Victoria made by Baxters.... .the plate very quickly empties.
Colette from Spain
This chutney has a really nicely balanced flavour between sweet and tangy without being too strong. It goes well with different meals and snacks like beef or cheese. I add it to other dishes, too, including pork chops or gammon steaks. It is also great to see that the ingredients used are natural and this is obvious not only from the label but also from the taste of the chutney.
Margaret from Italy
This is the best so far of the chutneys I've tried. Can't really say that it's a 'traditional' chutney, as it's Victorian and chutney is Indian isn't it?
Anyway, it seems to have more of a 'basic chutney' taste to it, without being overwhelmed by one taste, such as tomato, onion, chilli, exotic fruits etc. Maybe I'm just very conservative in my taste, but this is my favourite.
