I have to say this is a bit of a mixed emotions product. I find it quite tasty and a good alternative to cream if, for some reason, you don't want to use cream. It is not bad in taste, texture and all over suitability, but looking at the list of ingredients, the product quickly loses its appeal... there is still milk in it, so it isn't even a vegan option and I really cannot think of a good reason to use this topping instead of proper cream.

I really like this product, however I can see why others aren't keen as it does taste quite chemically and I think that really it shouldn't be eaten by itself or even as a topping. It's best mixed in with something else. I made a tiramisu with it, and I've also put it in an Eton mess, and both worked well because I had mixed it with other ingredients.

This topping is incredibly versatile and can be utilized in many different ways. You can use it as a topping for fruit salad or my own favourite.. on top of a serving of rice pudding or similar milk dessert.

It also works well to sandwich two sponge cakes together - especially if you also add a little jam to one of the layers. This creation is nice with a dusting of icing sugar over the top of the assembled cake.

Birds dream topping was very popular for many years in the U.K. because it was a easy sweet treat straight from the cupboard. The down side is that it's not very nice. kids will love it because it gives them the sugar hit that they like. Not very palatable if you're thinking creamy like cream topping. Very artificial tasting and I'd rather not eat it again.

Horrible, tastes like whipped lard. The worse thing I've ever tasted on a trifle, nothing like cream at all. The only reason I've given it one star is because it does whip up nicely, but it's not my cup of tea and I would not use it again. Greasy and yuck.Sorry.

The perfect item to finish off a 'homemade' trifle. I simply whisk it with milk and it creates this wonderfully light and fluffy cream topping. I find that one packet is easily enough for a trifle topping which will serve my family of 3 for a meal time. (with enough left over for seconds)
