I read about Bombay mix in a cookbook of an English author many years ago but in Italy it'impossible to find. Thanks to British Corner Shop I had the possibility to try it... And it's good. Spicy, but not too much, and tasty. A particular party snack. I give only 4 stars because there are too many noodles and a few lentils and peas. This is my first Bombay Mix, so I can't say if this brand is better than others. But for me is ok, and I think I'll buy it again. Also, the price is good: a big pack for a little price.
Really good snack but I like the spicy one that they do slightly more. To be fair they have a very good flavour profile, just needs a little bit more of a kick. Once again it brings back those childhood memories and these pair really well with a cold beer! Going to have to order more though, because the old man keeps eating mine, haha.
This was a first time for me to buy this product and I am really pleased, in fact I will be buying it again soon along with the other flavours available. I found it was a strong tasting snack but not overpowering and went well on a TV evening and a glass of wine or beer. I'm in Germany and my guests also enjoyed them.
This is a tasty Bombay Mix, if a little on the mild side. I was expecting more lentils too, I felt it was a little too few lentils compared to what I used to buy when I lived in the UK. That said it was very tasty and moreish. and an extra plus is that it is made with gram flour, which is made from chickpeas instead of wheat great for us who want to avoid eating wheat!
I was introduced to Bombay Mix about 30 years ago by a girl friend who still lives in the UK even though I moved to Holland back in '79.
I have tried various brands in the UK and even on the odd occasion I have been able to purchase it in Holland.
I don't know the brand Cofresh but will make a point of buying their bombay mix in future as it has the same taste I remember from all those years ago when I was given my first bowl.
The packaging is rather large and it will take quite some self control in eating the contents. The bag will be empty before I know it so I must ration myself with small bowls full of the mix.
I have spent years trying to find Bombay Mix in Finland with no luck. So I am so happy I could find it somewhere. This mix is really nice and has a little spicy kick to it. Some of the other brands are a bit boring and don't have much flavour. So overall, a very good product.
Can't find Bombay mix anywhere in France so I'm delighted to see its stocked here. It's so tasty, and this particular brand has just the right amount of spice!
Very addictive though, so even though the pack is quite big, it mightn't last very long!
Love the mixture in Bombay mix and this one gets the balance just right! A really nice product!
Just tried Cofresh mild Bombay mix at a friends place. I think you can get addicted to those crisps. They are not the best crisps I have eaten and I have expected them to be a little bit more spicy, but all in all it is a very good product.
Delicious, crisp, tasty but not too hot. Fantastic alternative to crisps or nuts and this bag is quite large. Nice selection of textures in here too. They do last a long time even after opening, as long as you seal the bag. Well worth the money and I wouldn't be without them.
These are impossible to find out here in France, maybe in the big cities but otherwise no. I always have to bring bags of the stuff back, as does anyone visiting us here. So this is a great thing to order as there's really nothing even similar on the shelves here.
We buy packets of this stuff every time we order. The bags are pretty big, but once open the packet will last for ages with a peg on it.
Everyone who's tried it has liked it (we're in France) and it makes a nice change from crisps for aperitif nibbles.
