essential Waitrose Porridge Oats (1000g)

I notice that the previous reviews are 2017 as on the Waitrose website there are recent bad reviews which say the oats must have been changed. The oats are hard and remain that way after 15 mins cooking. I have tried microwave and saucepan methods and both results were dreadful. I bought 2 bags so will now have to make a lot of flapjacks and crumble as they are useless for porridge. I write very few reviews but had to mention this product.

We go through this pretty fast throughout the winter. It makes delicious creamy porridge, which my dad enjoys with a heaped spoon of jam or honey. I've used these oats for making biscuits too, which also went down well. The oats I found locally weren't the same. These are smaller, but not powdery, and the porridge is smooth rather than chewy.

An excellent store cupboard staple. Their slightly smaller size makes porridge making quick and easy with the end result tasting smooth and creamy. The oats are perfect for making crunchy flapjack and for adding to homemade biscuits and smoothies. A generous sized bag of porridge oats with so many uses and best of all zero wastage.

Fantastic product. These Oats have substituted my old Porridge Oats and are much more than just breakfast at our house now! In a bowl not cooked with yogurt and jam, it makes a great fast snack at any time. Tastier, faster and better than any other Oat product thay I have tried. Satisfying but not overfilling, a must in my shopping order at BCS! Thanks Waitrose for a better breakfast and snack product!
