Flahavans Irish Porridge Oats (500g)

Flahavans porridge oats make a superior breakfast in my opinion, the texture is perfect and the flavour is robust and satisfying .

Fibre is an essential part of a healthy diet this porridge is a great way to increase fibre into a healthy diet. I like mine served with a sprinkling of brown sugar and milk.

I also add it to my home made meat loaf as I find it improves both the taste and texture.

There are many types of Porridge Oats available in all shapes, sizes, varieties and packaging.

As expected some are better than others and are packed with flavours. This particular brand does not set any alarm bells ringing in presentation and/or taste. It is simply average.

It is not packaged in the modern way which I like, it sticks to its traditional values.

Giving this 4 stars mainly because it's great value for money, although the taste may not be up to other brands. I bought this for my daughter and she said it's good, but she prefers other brands. Not that this is much of a problem though, as when you add sugar, honey, fruit or whatever, the difference in taste is not really noticeable.
