Piccalilli is a great British condiment, and Haywards Piccalilli is one of the greatest. This tangy, flavoursome relish can be seen in the fridge in many UK households.
A fairly healthy option, it contains 39% vegetables (cauliflower, onions and gherkins), hardly any fat and only 1% salt.

No other piccalilli on the market compares to Hayward's. Crisp, tangy and tasty this piccalilli never lets you down. Goes great in sandwiches or with a salad next to some nice cold chicken, or left over roast pork. Never let your cupboard be without one of these jars, no matter what the season.
There are a lot of these out there but this is a great quality, it is not too vinegary in taste and has a great consistency. I think this is another of those things you either love or hate but we grew up with home made of this so love it. It is fantastic on cold meat sandwiches and also like it with cheeses. A great relish on a buffet too.
Just like I remembered. Used it for some ham and cheese sandwiches. Lovely! Only got it on Friday and am already half through it Monday. Will be ordering more very soon.
I love Haywards Medium and Tangy Piccalilli. It's brilliant on a sandwich with cold meat or used with a salad especially at Christmas with leftover Turkey, salad and chips. I love this particular brand as its not too much. It has the perfect balance for pickles. Some piccalilli's can be too strong but this definitely has the right balance.
Haywards Piccalilli is the perfect partner to Branston Pickle, and they go so well together with many foods. Branston is much milder than Piccalilli, so it's good with less strong tasting cheeses. But with the stronger blues and yellows, you need something with an extra bite, a bit more spice, and that's where Piccalilli is outstanding on its own. The tangy mustard and vinegar add a nice sharp contrast but don't overpower the crisp cauliflower, gherkins and onions, and everything adds up to a delicious mouthful!
I always have a jar of this on the go here in Portugal. Not much liked over here and not seen in shops. Cold meat, bubble and squeak, Branston and this make a wonderful Boxing day lunch. Personally I prefer that to roast turkey and all the trimmings on Christmas Day.
Haywards piccalilli has a really lovely tangy taste and is especially nice on a turkey sandwich.
This is my favourite brand as it tastes just like my grandmothers home made version. I cannot imagine how labour intensive this task would be, I am thrilled to be able to buy Haywards in a jar!
My mother made a wonderful piccalilli. Now that she is sadly no longer with us I have been trying out commercial piccalillies. Haywards Piccalilli is by far the best. It has a lovely tart savoury flavour and the vegetables have a delightful crispy texture. I no longer regret not having learned to make it myself.
Haywards Piccalilli not only has an awesome name but also an awesome taste. It is nice and crunchy and for this reason is great when added to a number of dishes. Try it on cheese on toast and you will not be disappointed.
It is a pickle that I tend to buy a couple of times a year.
Had Haywards Piccalilli with my fry up tonight and found it to be excellent Nice crunchy veg and a great flavour. A must I think to add to my pickle pantry and use with things like cold meats or a good mature English Cheddar. It is also good value for money with the price drop.
This is one of the items that I have seen in my friends houses- in the fridge to be precise.Never tried it before - but now it will be in our fridge as well. Its great taste- it was the color I wasn't sure about... As foreigners we are not doing too bad.
This is an excellent piccalilli. I do have another favourite brand, which BCS don't have unfortunately, so I get this one and I haven't been disappointed.
As the other reviewer said, this has crunchy veg in it but it will also spread nicely. Delicious with all cheeses and meats, cold or hot. Just the thing when you want a tangy taste to liven up the plate.
The perfect accompaniment to cheese on toast, I don't care what any of you Worcester Sauce fans say.
Not only does this have crunchy vegetables, but it also has a fresh, tangy pickle flavour that spreads across whatever you're putting it on (e.g. a sandwich, cheese on toast, etc.), rather than running off it when you try. A must have for any cupboard.
