This is a luxurious yet versatile product. I could eat them straight from the tin and the oil is delicious. Besides the obvious addition to the top of a cracker as a canape, I've also used them to serve with fresh tagliatelle and black pepper...but my favourite is to add the whole tin, oil and all, to a slow cooked beef stew then topped with a pastry disc...delicious. A great store cupboard ingredient.
I simply loved it, they taste very good, the sunflower oil is pretty smooth and it doesn't underpin the flavour too much, so you can simply eat them directly from the tin. It works very well for me as a quick lunch along with a few slices of simple bread.
