Cook's Ketjap Manis Indonesian Sweet Soy Sauce is a thick and syrupy Indonesian version of soy sauce containing sugar and spices.
Rich and dark, this soy sauce can be used as an ingredient or condiment in Asian cuisine, and is also great when used as a marinade.
Its sweetness comes from palm sugar and, as it is sweeter than regular soy sauce, it cannot be used as a direct substitute.

Since I'm currently in Indonesia I've now tasted various local brands of sweet soy sauce and I have to say they blow this Ketjap Manis brand out of the water. But if you don't have any access to authentic Indonesian sweet soy sauce this is not a bad choice I'd say. It's quite decent in my opinion.
