McDougalls Thickening Granules are a casserole lifesaver! I was so happy to finally find a thickener that actually thickens instead of creating lumps and grainy bits to my meals. Just a spoonful saved my chicken and dumplings from becoming watery soup. I must keep McDougalls Thickening Granules in my cupboard. I highly recommend this product.

I discovered these by chance and spontaneously added them to my order. I don't cook big meals very often and I thought those Thickening Granules might be a helper for my Christmas dinner. However, last night I tried a new recipe for a soup and I was a bit disappointed by how thin and watery it was. So the neat blue can on my shelf seemed to yell Try me!! and it worked wonders! I really love it! I carefully added more and more until the soup had the perfect consistency. With no lumps or any change in taste. I don't write reviews often but this product truly deserves its 5 stars. I'll definitely restock it!!

Discovered this one day and could not believe how useful it is. It thickens anything without introducing any other flavour. Added gradually you manage to achieve thicker sauce or whatever without lumps. I have used it to thicken plain milk to achieve thicker milkshakes but the adding must be done slowly as too much you cannot shake. Ideal added to oxo based thin beef gravy. I would not be without it.

I'd have to say that Mc'Dougalls thickening granules are a great help in the kitchen for a quick fix. It can happen to all cooks that your sauce tastes good but a little thin. What to do? take a chance and add cornflour and chance adding lumps of raw flour!. And this is where these granules come into play. No lumps, no grainy texture, just a smooth sauce without added taste. Easy to use, and a little goes a long way. Sweet or savoury.
