This product from brand 'McVities' contains biscuits with arrowroot flour as one of the main ingredients. The biscuits are light and crispy. They have an adequate thickness and snap well. They have a predominantly 'malty' flavour, with a slightly 'salty' aftertaste. They 'dunk' very well in a hot beverage of one's choice. One may feel that biscuits made with arrowroot flour shall be 'starchy' or bland. These biscuits rid one of such an impression. They are quite filling and can be easily shared with family and friends. Overall, this product is worth the purchase.
When my children were little they used to love these biscuits, I would sit them in their high chair and they were content for the longest time and the harder texture of the biscuit meant clean up was a breeze.
I also enjoyed them with my morning coffee, though some people may think they are rather plain but in my estimation they pack a lot of taste. My daughter gives them to her children and - like me - also enjoys them.
I normally love Crawfords biscuits, but I just don't understand these. Take an already incredibly plain biscuit, the rich tea, make it even thinner, drier and then remove any hint of flavour. They're so dry they remind me of a cream cracker and arrowroot has a strange chalky taste and texture. There's probably fans of these somewhere, I'm just not one of them.
