I like them a lot, it's a shame they have only a couple of flavors. That's why I prefer Pocky, they have more variations nevertheless I like them. They are crunchy, the chocolate is very good, smooth and silky and once you eat one of them, well... let's just say the package will not last long.
This product from brand 'Mikado' in the original 'Milk' chocolate flavour is the 'European' answer to the popular 'Japanese' snack 'Pocky' sticks. Brand 'Mikado' has managed to manufacture a product that has merits enough to stand on its own, despite its innumerable comparisons with brand 'Pocky'.The biscuit sticks are covered with milk chocolate, which is just right. It is neither too thin to be subtle, nor too thick to overtake the 'biscuit' component of the product. The biscuit sticks, in themselves, are quite crunchy. There is a slightly salty aftertaste, which goes very well with the milk chocolate covering. The milk chocolate provides for a chocolatey mouthfeel. The covering is only till a certain point towards the end of each biscuit stick, ensuring that there are no messy hands while consuming the product. This is one of the characteristics of 'Pocky' sticks, which has been captured very well by brand 'Mikado'. While there are innumerable debates over which of the two brands is better, in my humble opinion, both are good enough to be had and enjoyed! This product is certainly worth the purchase.
Mikado are thin biscuit sticks which are dipped and covered in milk chocolate. The biscuit is very light and subtle and the chocolate layer is quite thin, making these a very delicate snack. The taste is ok but nothing spectacular. When you've had one it's hard to stop until the packet is empty, but mainly because of their attractive shape, which makes them interesting to munch on.
