First launched in 1910, Oxo Beef Stock Cubes remain an essential part of the British kitchen to this day. These individually foil wrapped cubes can either be used for making a tasty stock or added to all manner of dishes to boost the flavour.

With the perfect amount of seasoning in each cube, simply add one cube into a saucepan of boiling water, or crumble straight into a casserole, stew, cottage pie and many other dishes to introduce a really meaty flavour.

An absolute must in my opinion. It's got to be one of the most taken for granted items in many kitchens across the UK. Who would have thought that such a small cube could hold such a wonderful flavour. A wonderful beefy flavour that can add that perfect taste to soups, stews, gravy, well the list goes on. I brought an awful lot with me when I first left the UK. There's nothing that can come close to OXO, if you have some in the cupboard it will improve most, if not all your meat dishes. I have lived in a couple of European countries and further afield, I've always tried the equivalent and searched high and low for something local that will do the job, but I have never found anything. Many are far too salty and never come close. I make sure I never have less than 12, Its sometimes these little additions that make all the difference.

Having lived in Portugal, France and now in Poland, I have always struggled to find decent stock cubes. Oxo beef stock cubes are by far the best on the market and it is great that I can order them from British Corner Shop. They are so easy to crumble into a casserole, soup or even into a frying pan to make a delicious gravy. The taste is beefy with just the correct amount of salt. They are the best.

By far one of the best stock cubes on the market. They crumble easily into stews, casseroles or any other dish and give a lovely meaty flavour without being too strong or salty. They are also great for making stocks for soup or just a hot winter beefy drink. Great to see them easily available on British Corner Shop!

I used to love getting back home, crumbling a red OXO cube and some white pepper into a big mug, filling it with boiling water and ripping the stale crust end of the bread of and dunking it into the hot bullion. The shear comfort and settling power of that deeply savoury hot drink made the pain of the bitterly cold games lesson worth it. To me OXO was always that comforting moment you couldn't wait to get to.

My family have used beef Oxo cubes for four generations. They make terrific beef gravy to compliment roast beef and yorkshire pudding, add flavour to stew and elevate shepherds pie.

My grandmother used to buy hers in red tin boxes, my sister and I would fight over them when they were empty as we liked to keep 'treasure' in them.

Last summer in downtown Toronto I saw an old red Oxo tin in an antique shop - it was priced at $200.00. Sadly, neither myself or my sister kept ours though I wish we had.

Perhaps my fellow expats might find this old relic as there seems to be an appetite for these old tins in Toronto.

Oxo cubes are part of history. They even named a building in London after them.

I use them in many dishes including stews, chillie con carne and bolognese even when I am not looking to make a gravy but where I want that strong meaty flavour to enhance a dish.

In my opinion they are far better than Bisto and the other gravy mixes.

My Oxo cubes get used so quickly as I use them in many dishes. Obviously a good gravy needs a cube, then the beef stew needs a cube or two, then the cottage pie, shepard's pie and even the bolognese gets a cube. Taste is enhanced in just about any meaty recipe. So now I realise I didn't order enough!

Oxo Beef Stock Cubes are used in our house several times a month. They are very well received in a number of dishes. Now that winter is here they go in casseroles, pies and even good old fashioned corned beef hash.

I am yet to find a Brit who does not love Oxo!

I use Oxo cubes all the time to give flavour to all my meat and roasts. Can't live without them ! Living here in France in a rural location I have to ensure I have a good stock. I use it for drinks too and it always gives a good strong meaty taste.

Oxo Beef Stock cubes the versatile Addition to every store cupboard.

Oxo Beef stock cubes make a very good additive to stews and casseroles, simple crumble them into the stew or casserole stir gently and leave to cook.

Also why not try them as a hearty beef drink on a cold winters day, just dissolve a cube in a mug and enjoy.

I love my British Oxo cubes. We live in Canada, its a great country but they don't know how to make Oxo cubes like the British. There's are very salty. I do a lot of home cooking and it just wouldn't taste the same without the proper Oxo cube. I'm just pleased that we have the British corner shop so that I don't have to do without. Thank You

I think Oxo make one of the best beef stock cubes on the market. These cubes add richness to beef and pork dishes without them tasting too salty. They are very good value for money and keep well too. Plus they are easy to use. You can either dissolve in water or crumble directly into the dish that you are cooking.

You can drink this too. It makes a lovely change from the usual tea or coffee for a break. I also use it in stews and gravies and it always gives it a lovely strong meaty taste. The cubes are good value and they last a long time too - I've still got the rest of a pack of 60 in the cupboard.

I start panicking when I run out of oxo cubes! I use them several times a week in mince and tatties, shepperd pies or bolognaise. It will give a strong meaty flavour to any dish and help any sauce thicken. During winter, make hearty soups with this stock or mix with bisto for a gravy with a twist!
