Delicious! This is one of the most requested sandwiches from my children. I spread it on multigrain bread with a thin layer of butter, layered with sliced cucumbers and a slice of semisoft cheese. A jar makes about 4 generous sized sandwiches.
The best combination is sardines and tomato. It is very tasty and a very smooth sandwich spread. I always use fresh cucumbers on the top and sometimes lettuce as well. It comes in a handy little bottle that makes it easy to bring at work or so. How I wish they gonna have a bigger size of this.
This is so handy to have in the cupboard for sandwich emergencies!! It only needs refrigerating once it's been opened. It has a smooth texture, and thanks to the minced salmon and tomato, it is a lovely pink colour. It's not overpowering in the fishy department, but the balance with the tomato is perfectly complemented. It's nice as an open sandwich with cucumber thinly sliced on top, or fresh tomato.
Princess sardine and tomato paste are a real taste of childhood and memories of family picnics on Filey Beach. Each morning my mother would give each of us a choice of fillings, sardine and tomato was always one of my favourites. I'm delighted to be able to be able to taste a piece of my childhood summers again. Totally wonderful
This is my favourite paste pate. When my friends or relatives go to England on vacation, this is the only item I ask them to bring back for me! I ordered 6 jars from BCS and received them just 4 days ago I have already gone through three jars so will have to place another order. This paste on hot buttered toast is just wonderful. Thankfully, no one in my family likes it so there is more for me.
This sardine and tomato paste packs a lot of punch in a small jar. The paste is a rich tomatoey colour, the consistency is slightly thick but very smooth, excellent for spreading. It is great for a lunchtime snack, spread on toasted wholemeal bread or in a sandwich with sliced cucumber. There is a touch of spiciness, a fishy taste and a rich, oily flavour of the tomato puree. This is a winner with all family members.
This sardine and tomato paste is lovely in a sandwich especially with crispy lettuce and wholewheat bread. It is also lovely on toast for breakfast. For a get together it goes well on crackers with a thin slice of cucumber or a small piece of tomato. I like the fact that you can use this paste in many ways and they all taste delicious.
This spread is very good on white bread with butter. One of my fave treats! Delicious
Just so simple to spread on your toast or bread! And tasty as well :D This is my special Rainy day treat, spread on bread and toast it under the grill for a few minutes while making a big cup of tea.. Just perfect.
This spread is made of good quality ingredients, with a strong yet not overwhelming taste. It is delicious on brown bread, with added lettuce, tomato, onion and eventually some John West sardines.
If you have people over, I recommend toasting french bread in the oven, adding Princes Sardine and Tomato Paste, a tomato slice, chilli flakes, some herbs and serve it as appetisers.
