Why have ordinary cream with your Christmas pudding when you can indulge in Creamy Cumberland Rum Butter, from Quiggins?
The rich, thick butter is infused with a delicate hint of rum, which compliments the creamy flavour exquisitely.
Add a dollop on treacle tart, mince pies or any other sweet treat at the dessert table to create an extra zing to your pudding.

One of our Quiggins branded products.
I had not tried rum butter before but had tried maple butter so thought I'd give this a try and was not disappointed. The flavour is delicious and we have used on pancakes, waffles and toast! A nice change from the usual butter, jam or maple syrup. I've bought a tub for my Mum and hoping she enjoys as much as we do.
I had brandy butter before of course, but Quiggins' is the first time I found rum butter.Great on the obvious pies, puddings, even things like ice cream or yoghurt. It tastes more like rum than rum does.In fact I'm going to add some to my next order soon, and not wait until Christmas.
I wasn't sure what to do with this when I bought it to be honest, but found it to be delicious spread on hot tea cakes. I also dotted it in place of normal butter on apple pastry triangles and in a bread pudding, and it just added some extra flavour and sweetness. I'll definitely buy it again.
Quiggins Cumberland Rum Butter is a very flavoursome product. It is essential with plum pudding and is particularly tasty spread on hot crumpets - yum! I have one objection, though - I find it a bit too grainy - I would prefer a smoother consistency. Otherwise I am very satisfied with it.
I was born in Carlisle (the oldest city in England). Carlisle is in Cumberland so this product is very close to my heart. My grandmother used to make her own version and with her other culinary delights had quite the 'cottage industry' she actually had a waiting list for her rum butter. I would be allowed to help her, after the jars had been cooled she would label them with the date and I would tie a yellow ribbon just below the lid.
This product is almost as good as hers, minus the yellow ribbon. There is another Cumberland traditional dish I long for and cannot get - Cumberland sausages. I cannot buy your chilled products as Canada will not allow the import of certain products.
Rum butter is an item I would get normally for Xmas, but since it is here on sale at half price I can use it now out of this festive time.
I have some ways of making it a good ingredient to my Sunday dessert for my family.
Good buy at small price.
