This was quite a trip down memory lane! My dad always made this sound so magical with the stories of it being an amazing source of energy for hikers etc. As a child, I found it a few times in a little sweets store so obviously seeing it available I had to purchase some and force everyone to try it. Definitely not disappointed and just as great as I remember it tasting!
As a child we lived reasonably close to Kendal so it was a popular Sunday day trip. We would be given 'pocket money' to buy sweets when we got to Kendal. My sister and I always bought this mint cake. We both loved the chalky taste of this treat and it was the highlight of the day for both of us.

Kendal Mint Cake is probably one of the most energy rich 'foods' that you can eat. The military have it in their ration packs to perk up the soldiers energy levels.
The chalk like mint is very nice on the taste buds and leaves a refreshing taste in your mouth whilst energising your body.
We are from Kendal so are very pleased to see Kendal mint cake. It's so good they do a chocolate covered one and brown one too. They carried it up Everest for energy, I remember as a child Dad explaining it to me . I stock up and give it to friends in Greece.
