Gotta love Richmond Thick Irish Sausages! They are a special treat even here in the land of the bratwurst, it's just the right sausage to make bangers and mash or sausage casserole. Nice and crispy on the outside and mushy on the inside. So nice that I can get chilled products, hope they stay available.
Haven't eaten sausages for years and these Richmond thick sausages are absolutely wonderful. My children couldn't believe their eyes when the arrived. I cooked one packet immediately for tea and then froze the others. I definitely recommend them.
I absolutely love these sausages. They are my favourite type of sausage. In Sweden they use hot dogs or frankfurters which aren't the same as Richmond Irish thick cut sausages in a lovely full British breakfast. I also like to use them in hot dog rolls. Most Saturdays we have a full British breakfast with black pudding, sausages, bacon, eggs and beans. It fills us up for the whole day. I would definitely recommend these sausages as they're not over powering. Some sausages have too many herbs in them but these have the perfect taste.
Richmond Thick Sausages are excellent value for money. Even here in the land of wurst the taste of a real Irish sausage is always welcome. The skin fries up nice and crisp and the inside is meaty and stodgy without being chewy. We love them with mash and peas or with fried onions on a nice crusty roll with some nice German mustard of course.
I had forgotten just how nice a good old British banger tastes. I particularly like these sausages in a toad in the hole with lots of gravy. They also freeze really well and I now buy lots of packs and freeze them in lots of 2 or 4. They only take a couple of hours to thaw. Good price and good quality.
Real old fashioned UK sausages for that traditional English breakfast. Not much meat content but that is what makes them so delicious when fried or BBQd.
I just ate some scrumptious sausages the taste of which I had forgotten.
At last some sausage i can eat in Finland that has skin I can actually eat and enjoy.
Introduced my wife to British sausages so far so good, though she said it is a different taste but liked it anyway.

Richmond thick Irish sausages are very typical everyday sausages. For those of us that were brought up in the UK they are a must, although many people from outside the UK may find them a little boring.
The internal texture of these sausages can be a little soft, due to the lower meat content compared to butcher style sausages.
My favourite ways to eat these are: in sausage casserole (you can order colemans sausage casserole mix here), cooked and cool then eaten in a sandwich with onions and lastly, I often remove a couple from the skins and mix with Paxo stuffing mix (also available here) to make extra yummy stuffing.
I often ate Richmond thick Irish sausages when I lived in London as an enjoyable alternative to fabulous sausages made by my local butcher.
It is therefore good to be able to enjoy them again courtesy of BCS.
The Richmond sausages have a good taste and a skin which crisps nicely when grilled without becoming tough like so many other makes. The texture of the filling is slightly mushy but not unpleasant. There is very little water when cooking.
All in all good sausages particularly as they are somewhat cheaper than other premium makes.
I am so happy I ordered these! They have the flavour I remember and the texture was wonderful. Although I am not British, I lived in the UK for a few years a long time ago and this was one of the things I missed when I returned to Greece. I used one packet today to make "toad in the hole" and the family loved it! Having the right product sure makes a difference! I am certain I will order them again.

Hey guys, now here we have Richmond thick Irish sausages. I know Richmond does also do thin sausages. I rather like the thicker ones though. The flavour is very good, but I think it has too much contents which I rather do not want to know exactly inside. But who cares..they are good.
Richmond do thick and thin sausages. To be honest with you they taste nice and I have enjoyed them for decades. I am unsure on the quality of the contents of these sausages. Not because of the taste but because I often make my own sausages and am amazed at what you can put in them.
I cannot remember when I first tried Richmond Thick Irish Sausages has to be at least 30 years ago. They were and still are great value for money. Perfect in a sausage butty, toad in the hole, they also go well in Norfolk Sausage where they are simmered in milk together with onions and mustard. I would recommend Richmond Thick Irish to anyone.
Simply the best. Thick, juicy, meaty and tasty sausages, there are no others quite like it. Grilled and not fried, they are at they're best. Try these in Toad in the Hole, or just as bangers with mash, so delicious. There might be a whole lot of continental sausages out of the UK but nowhere will you find fantastic sausages like these!
Richmond are a trusted brand and no other sausage matches Richmond thick Irish sausages. They cook perfectly with a moist tasty middle and the skin keeps it all in shape. They are perfect in a baguette or with chips, beans and eggs. They always go down well in my house.
What a treat to have Richmond sausages. Just as wonderful as we remembered. The chilled box arrived and we could hardly decide which pack of sausages to keep out for tea. So long since we have had a decent sausage sandwich. The French versions are really not to our taste. Looking forward to more chilled boxes. Nothing can beat Richmond thick sausages. They are perfect as part of a fry up, in a sausage casserole or by themselves ,cooked on a grill or barbecue. The taste is inimitable and the texture is creamy and fondant. I always have a pack in my freezer and will for sure stock up on them now that the BCS sells them!
