Sarah Day was born in Lincolnshire, but grew up in Tasmania, perhaps contributing to her distinct creative

point of view. She is a poet and author of such works as 'A Hunger to Be Less Serious', 'The Ship', and 'Mussolini's

Island'. Day was the poetry editor of Island Magazine and recipient of multiple literary awards.
