Product reviews
Picked my first one up on a flight back to Canada from Heathrow and was in love. The creamy chocolate with the Daim is perfect and needless to say I've had several since. You absolutely cannot beat UK chocolate for its taste so I order Dairy Milk bars as a treat from the UK. Definitely worth a try in my opinion.
As another reviewer mentioned, I think the ratio Daim-Cadbury is not perfect, there is way too much chocolate, which can be sickly. I appreciate that Cadbury often launches new products, often a mix of their original milk chocolate with other sweet things, like Oreo, popping candy etc. It is not my favorite out there but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Daim bars were very popular back in the 80's/90's although I could not see their appeal. I often like to try and taste things again to see if my taste has adapted and maybe I will like something that I previously did not.
I tried this bar recently to try and get over my dislike of Daim but it was not successful even when combined with Dairy Milk chocolate.
I have to compare this to the Milka version as it will no doubt replace it in the UK. The bar is a lot thicker but the amount of Daim doesn't seem to have changed, so it's a bit chocolate heavy for me. Dairy Milk is sweeter as well making it harder to taste the little pieces, ends up being more of just an added texture.
