After being very unhappy with the Waitrose essential pickled onions I was very apprehensive about buying these as my usual brand was out of stock. These have a good ginger taste and crunchy. Perfect to go with my first mug of coffee in the morning. Will be buying these in future rather than the more expensive name brand I have ben buying.
It always seems a risk purchasing a supermarket brand rather than the big names but in this case, it was well worth it. The biscuits are very similar in taste and texture but priced lower and the packaging is easier to open and doesn't rip apart spilling biscuits everywhere.
So good and gingery with a hint of lemon. Goes well with both tea black and green and coffee. This was my first experience with ginger nuts and I couldn't have been happier. I don't know if other brands are better, but these Waitrose, or essential Waitrose more generic or cheaper? are delicious.
I absolutely love these Waitrose ginger nut biscuits. Although they are from their budget essential range, they are anything but budget. They have an amazing snap to them and are loaded with ginger. I'm afraid that once I've popped, I find it very difficult to stop, they are so moreish. I would definitely recommend these, and a very reasonable price too.
Deliciously crisp and very, very tasty. These Waitrose essential biscuits have a good quantity of ginger in them and are not too sweet. They are of course perfect with a cup of coffee or tea, and as they are quite small I don't feel too guilty having more than one! Try crushing them and mixing with a little melted butter. They are perfect as a base when making a homemade vanilla or lemon cheesecake.
These are really nice and crunchy biscuits. I love them with a large glass of milk or Rooibos tea. They also make an interesting alternative to digestives in some desserts, and are delicious crumbled over stewed fruit rhubarb, apple etc. As an essential Waitrose product, they're reasonably inexpensive but very tasty.
