I used to buy this in my local supermarket on my way from work then I retired and my local supermarket did not deem it an appropriate stock item. Although taught to make Yorkshire puddings from scratch and that the thickness of the mixture dictated whether it was batter, Yorkshire pudding or pancakes, this mixture is fine to coat fresh or spam for spam fritters. If you add a little for water it is fine for making basic pancakes.

I have bought this product often at specialty stores and I am pleased to see that you sell it at a more economical price. I believe I am a reasonable cook but I have never been able to make a light crispy batter for my beloved fish and chips. This batter is just lovely.
My three children were all 'made in Canada' and as they were growing up, I made sure that though they were proud Canadians, they should also be proud of their British heritage.
Every Friday I made fish and chips (with this batter) wrapped in grease proof paper and newspaper and we would watch a Walt Disney movie on the couch with our 'fish supper'.

Not bad. It does indeed make a nice, crisp, golden fish batter. So, in terms of both texture and appearance I was quite satisfied. But I'm not 100% convinced about the flavour. To be fair, I would like to try it again in order to have a clearer picture. So I will be re-ordering.
