Greens caramel mix was something I thought I would try as I am a fan of creme caramel but totally fed up with the tasteless pre-made dross that's currently on the market And I must say I was very pleased with the results of my efforts with this simple to make dessert on this occasion I made 4 individual desserts but you could easily make one large one, my only concern whilst preparing was that the caramel mix does not thicken like custard as I thought it would but sets quite nicely once cooled

This sweet dish needs to be prepared to allow it to set and preferably chilled in a fridge, mixed with either full fat or semi-skimmed is down to personal taste. The caramel is very bitter to begin with but transforms into a delightful flavour when the hot custard is poured on to it. This sweet can either be made in individual pots or mad as one in a pint-sized dish.
