I love black currant flavored things. It's hard to find in the United States. The UK has so many things black currant flavored even throat drops. I almost wish for a sore throat. They are really big and last a long time. They coat and soothe the throat really well. A nice drop.

I got these because I was heading out of town and I always like to carry a throat drop with me wherever I go. These were perfect since it was in stick form and it wasn't going to scatter all over the inside of my purse. I also love blackcurrant flavor since it's non-existent here in the US and really enjoyed the liquid center. Next time I'm getting the 3 pack since I only got one!

Do not get me wrong, these Blackcurrant Soothers from Halls are extremely tasty and have a refreshingly soft gooey centre but in this category they should not be.
In my experience they taste nice but do not in any way soothe your throat. For that reason I say that these are poor. Should they be a normal sweet I would rate them higher.
There are more effective lozenges on the market.
