Nestle coffee mate i find gives more of a creamy taste than a milky flavour and although i like it for when i go on my fishing trips it is not something i would use all the time!! it serves a purpose for me and as i say i like the creamy flavour it gives it keeps well in the resealable tin so there are no problems in that department i have used this item for years so i will not stop now

Coffee Mate is an excellent product for a multitude of reasons. First and foremost it tastes like cream when added to coffee, it is handy to have on hand if you run out of milk or your milk has gone sour. I was grateful for this product when I went camping several years ago, the only milk that was visible was still in the cow two fields over from our tent!

I find this coffee whitener very creamy tasting and very handy for camping or anywhere you haven't got a fridge at hand. This 500g tin goes a long way, I use just one heaped teaspoon of it in coffee, never in tea... it would be like drinking tea with cream, yuck.

Coffee Mate is a dark cream coloured powder made out of corn syrup solids, vegetable oils, sodium caseinate and other hard-to-pronounce chemicals, artificial flavour and annatto colour. The main advantage of using Coffee Mate is that it's non dairy so if you have a lactose intolerance you don't have to drink your coffee black. It's also useful to keep in the office if you don't have a fridge, but it tastes nothing like milk or cream.

My husband loves this product, but would love to be able to get the 2.5Kg bags. He is a real coffee drinker and always uses Coffee Mate, he tried others but never found them to be as good. We did manage to get a 2.5Kg bag and found that was the perfect way to buy it.
