Quaker oats is something I have eaten since childhood and to this day love this breakfast great way to start the day having walked the dog on a cold morning return home to this healthy creamy hot bowl of loveliness topped off with some cut-up fresh fruit or if I'm being a wee bit naughty a big dollop of jam in the middle of the bowl is just divine

I always have a box of Quaker porridge oats in my cupboard, I rotate this with other cereals through the week to give myself a balanced and varied start to the day. You can make it with milk, water or as I do, half and half, which helps cut down the calories and fat. It's fabulous for adding to crumble toppings for extra crunch, and they are also great for helping to lower your cholesterol.

Quaker oats, like milk and bread, is a staple in my pantry. Growing up my parents used to have them for breakfast almost everyday so I've learned to love porridge since I was very young. It's very versatile too, you can have it sweet with milk, honey and sliced fruits, or you can have it savoury with eggs. Lately I've been making them into pancakes, they're very nice!

Porridge is the best way to start the day, it is healthy,it leaves you satisfied until lunchtime, super easy to make and very versatile, as you can add fruits,nuts or seeds to it. Quaker is the brand I always choose as I think it provides the best quality product.

Quaker Oats have been around for a long time due to their delicious taste and ease of preparation.
They save for a long time in the cupboard so there is no rush to eat them although because of their lovely taste you probably will eat them well before their expiry date.

Quaker oats are of decent quality and you can make you a well tasting porridge using these. However, personally I do like Scotts Porage Oats even better.
These are easy to prepare either in the microwave or for the best flavour in a kettle.
To finish the flavour, add some of your favorite ingredients like jam or honey.

These easy to cook, adaptable, delicious oats are my favourite for making porridge, flapjacks, biscuits, coatings and toppings for sweet and savoury dishes. These oats cook perfectly and have an excellent flavour. I couldn't be without them in my store cupboard. Also, as they're cholesterol busters they're good for us as well. A great health food.
