Barratt candyland refreshers fruity flavour fizzy sweets are not what i remember these i found were an ok sweet reasonably tasty whereas previously they would melt in your mouth and the fizziness would give your tongue and mouth a real zinging fruity wallop!! i know things change but on this occasion not for the better im afraid!! never mind we tried

The nostalgia is real! I remember buying these disc shaped sweets at my local sweet shop as a kid. Refreshers are like a party for your mouth with the tingling and the fizz. The multi colored discs just dissolve away as soon as they hit your tongue and the fruity flavors are refreshing. It is definitely very easy to finish off a whole pack as they are highly addictive.

I have loved these fizzy sweets since I was a child, when would save my weekly pocket money to buy them. They are fun a great fruity fizz, inexpensive and a perfect treat for myself, as well as my children who have inherited my passion for them ! Impossible to find where I live in France, it's great that they can now be ordered online. And now without artificial flavours, so I can give them to my children without having a bad conscience !

Not often that I would say looking like a rabid dog is a good thing, however Refreshers make it worth while. Eat them one at a time or throw in a handful let them rest on your tongue, why not some fizzy drink and then scare the life out of the neighbours. Childishly fun.

Delicious, fizzy, small discs of joy!

These were my favourites as a child, and even now I love them. They have a sherbet-like feel to them, and will give you a tingly, bubbly sensation on your tongue as they dissolve.

Incredibly more-ish, and wonderfully flavoured. I wouldn't recommend eating the whole pack in one go, as the resulting burps may fizz in your nose!

These tasty little sweets certainly do bring back memories from my childhood. They are hard and fruity with a very appealing fizz.

When I was little and my pocket money was given to me I would generally choose these sweets as they were inexpensive and I liked the taste of them, actually I still do.

Average now but in the past were fantastic. I guess like anything with a fizz it becomes less over time and that is simply what has happened here.

There are still the magnificent colours involved but the fizzing sensation on your tongue is not what it used to be. A shame.

Barratt Refreshers are fruit flavoured fizzy sweets which were very popular when I was a child in the 70s. The ones sold now are quite different and have much less fizz to them. They used to be basically pure ascorbic acid, whereas now they are quite bland. This is probably due to the fact that they are now made with no artificial colours and flavours and much less unhealthy chemicals. I can't really see the point of the healthy version.

I recently discovered Barratt refreshers when I visited my local British shop and they are probably the best candies I've had since I was a child. They do indeed refresh you and make you yearn for more. They are hard yet they will sort of fizz and dissolve in your mouth after a little while. I can't choose which flavour is my favourite!
