I remember these chews from the seventies when on the way to school we'd stop in the local sweet shop and spend our pennies. Thanks to sweets like this, a lot of dentists made a lot of money in those days, and it's rare to find someone from generation who didn't have a mouthful of fillings at an early age! That said, they are chewy and tasty!

Starting to see these in the original small format in Sweden but not yet found the "Giant". I do however have some small memory of there being an even bigger one at around 25g at some point. But I'll assume that they stopped those due to the amount of effort required to finish it.

I remember these from many years ago. They were delicious, the best taffy/chew bar ever made. Came in strawberry or lemon flavours. If you ate them at room temperature they were chewy but if you put them in the freezer they were crunchy and cracked into little pieces, and then would be chewy. You could share them much easier if they were frozen first because they would crack into pieces. Your friends would all want a piece of the bigger bar, and then in turn, would share their treats with you.

I remember these Giant refresher chew bars from when I was a child. I loved the tangy, chewy and slightly fizzy flavours/textures. They were equally as enjoyable whether you ate the giant or the normal version. I do remember the difference in them if you eat them at different temperatures. The colder it is the more brittle the bar becomes. A lovely treat from my younger years! Excellent.

I grew up in France so did not become familiar with refreshers until much later in life but I have enjoyed my fair share since. I love any candy that is chewy and has sherbet in it, so Swizzels Matlow giant refresher is definitely the product for me. I think it is also amazing value at BCS.
