There's always a fight for the pantry cupboard when Rainbow Drops have been delivered and there's plenty to go round as my daughters Kiwi friends don't like them. They are not used to so much flavour as their choice is limited here in New Zealand. The sugar coated puffed rice is delicious when you eat a handful.

These little things are kind of hard to describe. They taste like a puffed rice cereal that has been covered in sugar. Once you crunch down, it tastes a bit like Styrofoam and sugar. The flavor isn't bad, but the texture can be offputting. I'm not sure if I would purchase them again. I think they would be good for people who enjoy their nostalgic quality, but for newcomers, it might be a hard sell.

Rainbow drops were very popular many years ago and most kids liked them at school.

They look great and the colours are really appealing but the colour also signifies to me that they must be full of junk. I do not know if they actually are though.

I do not like the sogginess of these snacks after the initial crunch and the taste is nothing special.

Aw I remember eating these in the playground, and I was the school teacher! Only joking... as a kid I used to love the beautiful assorted bright colours in the packs of Rainbow Drops that we'd buy on our way to school. Delicious, sugar coated puffs of rice, more a less a softer, sugary version of a rice crispy. Nice to be able to taste them again and they cost next to nothing too.
