First launched in 1800s, Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts are one of the UK’s oldest and best-loved confectionary products. This large carton is perfect for sharing out amongst friends and family over the festive period.
Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts came to be via the means of a most fortuitous mishap when a Bassetts sales rep dropped a tray of samples he was showing to a client, mixing them all up. Bassetts began to mass produce Liquorice Allsorts soon after!
Each liquorice sweet is slightly different, whilst retaining that one all important ingredient.

Echoing the feedback of a few of my Redcoat comrades, while there are a few good imitation liquorice sweets available, for me nothing beats Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts. Everything else comes close but no cigar.
I got my American Hubby into these on a trip to the UK and, while he's able to satisfy his occasional craving with imitation products, it's Bassetts every time. As this is a taste of home for me, I don't compromise.
The coconut circles and the newer battenbergs are my absolute favourites. Great quality and great price.
There are many imitations, or other assortments of liquorice sweets, but none that I have tried equal Bassetts. They are the standard. I have enjoyed them for over seventy years and hope to keep on enjoying for a few more years. All varieties are good but maybe the flat round ones coated with little balls are best.
I live in Holland where they have all sorts of liquorice on offer, some better than others. But what they call the *English mix* is disgusting and of poor quality. Nothing beats Bassetts when it comes to affordable and great tasting liquorice. My favourite of the mix is definitely the one covered in small sugar bits.
My husband has loved Bassetts Liquorice Allsorts since childhood and they never fail to please. I had not expected how many French and other friends as well as Brits would also love them. A real winner and ice breaker when walking with the French Walking Group if he can bear to part with them. If you like liquorice these are varied, traditional and a real taste of home.
