Mouthwatering and greatly fizzy. Highly recommended to anyone that loves sherbet candy.

I used to love to go to our local sweet shop as a child, I would gaze in wonderment at all the big glass jars containing such a wide variety of sweets. There were humbugs, my grandmothers favourite, sugared almonds, mum liked those, jaw breakers favoured by my sister, and sherbet lemons, my favourite. I love the citrus taste and the tang of sherbet.

The shop owner seemed as old as Moses to me at the time, he would weigh the sweets and put them in a crisp white paper bag, then he would smile, his old face would transform as he put a couple of extra sweets in the bag for free.

Good sweets, good memories.

This is one of my children's favourite sweets. I just wish they made other flavours!

Not too lemony, a nice surprise when the ends start to fizz, giving an extra tang to the sweets.

A nice refreshing and very different candy than those offered here in the USA. Brings back good childhood memories!

Did you know these are one of Dumbledore's favorite Muggle sweets.

When I have a bag I rarely get to have more than one or two.

Everyone wants to try them. Yummy

Sherbet Lemons are a lovely sweet that have a bumpy texture to make your mouth go to work on exploring it.

They are a tangy lemon flavour sweet with a powder centre that really is exciting once you get to it.

They are great for sharing especially with people who have never had them before as they do not expect the kick that the sherbet gives you.

I realise that a lot of sweets that I remember from the seventies and eighties don't taste like they used to. This is particularly true for anything containing sherbet. These were very sharp and tangy when I was child and you either loved them or hated them. Now, they are simply lemon flavoured boiled sweets with a hint of sherbet in the centre.

The fizzy sherbet center and the sharp lemon flavour of Bassets Sherbet Lemons has always been mouthwatering and quite unique. I find that these sweets actually help an upset stomach, which I suspect is due to the magnesium carbonate or bicarbonate in the sherbet. Whatever it is these are handy to have in the car for long journeys. Kid love them.
