I haven't tried the popular brand version of these, but I can say, that this product was amazing. I've read some reviews, which said that these taste just like the popular brand ones and I have no regrets that I tried them. They are especially great with lightly warmed milk, they soften very nicely pretty quick and become almost a porridgelike thing, they aren't sweet and just perfect for everyday breakfast. I loved it!
