I love HP sauce, it is a taste from home. Nothing like it to liven up an all day breakfast. Stick it in a sausage sandwich or even a cheese sandwich to make your mouth water. Nice with pies and pasties and you can even use it to spice up sauces and gravys. It's a little bit pricey but we'll worth the money. I recommend this sauce highly.

I love this when it is in a glass bottle, strangely enough I think it actually tastes different We can get this in plastic bottles in Germany, so not much sense buying this now. I used to be able to buy it in a glass bottle from this site, but not any more. Has HP stopped producing it in glass bottles not very environmentally friendly.

Had my first taste of HP sauce, I never thought it had such a tangy flavour. I imagined it to be a nice, sweet, thick sauce but it wasn't really my taste. I still give it 3 stars since my aunt, who tasted it for the first time with me actually liked the flavour. The consistency is nice but I would not buy it anymore. But I can understand why many people love this classic sauce.

Hp brown sauce is without a doubt the best friend of a bacon sarnie!! tastes just as good today as when i first had it as a kid!! now the whole family love it and its always on the order form as i do not like to run out!! versatile as it goes with many meat dishes sausages burgers etc. sometimes i add to minced beef when cooking just to give the beef somewhat of a zing

HP Sauce is the perfect condiment and accompaniment to your burger, hot dogs, pies, sausages or pretty much any kind of meat dish. It is a tangy sauce with a little bit of a kick to it, which I absolutely love. You could compare it to A1 steak sauce, but HP takes the top spot in my eyes.

This is a great consistency and has a very rich, tangy taste to it that I love, Steak sauce in the USA is thin and unappealing but this is a rich sauce that is amazing on sausages and pies and I will occasionally put on a good stew. Great on chips and cold meats as well. So many brown sauces out there but this is the best

I can buy HP Sauce here in Spain, but it needs a car journey to do it and it's not a product I want to be without in the store cupboard. I may be prejudiced, but to me a sausage is not a sausage without a dunk in HP sauce. Very handy for adding to stews and casseroles as well. Love it!

As yet I have been unable to find HP brown sauce here in France. HP sauce in my own opinion adds great flavour to any tradional cooked breakfast especially a English cooked breakfast with our own home made sausages and smoked bacon. It also adds that unique flavour to traditional stews and hotpots that we tend to have more of in the winter months after cold day temperatures.

HP Top Down Brown Sauce is a delicious condiment for all types of meats and stews. I used to really like A1 Steak Sauce but now absolutely prefer HP Brown Sauce. The top down packaging is an advantage as when using the glass bottles it takes longer to pour and it can be difficult to get out the last bit of sauce at the bottom.

Can't buy this in Holland except in a small glass bottle which needs additional vinegar to shift the sauce at the bottom when it's nearly empty.

I just love the idea of just being able to squeeze and get the right amount of sauce instead of shaking and banging a bottle which inevitably means the sauce misses the plate and hits either the wall or kitchen counter!

I've tried other brands over the years but prefer this old favourite especially with a bangers and mash meal - a regular in my household here in Holland.

HP Brown sauce is a must have in my home, this tangy slightly hot sauce compliments so many foods. It is wonderful on a bacon sandwich. My personal favourite is to pair it with really strong cheddar cheese on whole wheat bread, great though a little messy.

Meat just loves this sauce, from steak to sausages and everything in between. I also add it to my homemade stew as an added flavour boost.

Some people love it others hate but for me HP is a great spicy, tangy sauce that is an essential add-on to pies, bacon and sausages (BCS sell fantastic selections of each).

The top-down bottle has the advantage of an instant pour without having to shake the bottle and the consistency pours easily even when storing in the fridge.

Like Marmite, it's a bit difficult to describe HP Brown Sauce to a non-Brit! It's a great addition to a fry-up. I also tried adding a touch to my minced beef, and it worked out really well! Perfect with egg'n'chips! The bottle has a great design, and much quicker and cleaner to use than the conventional bottle.

HP sauce Top Down Brown Sauce is a relatively new product from HP - the sauce has been around for years but this particular packaging has not.

Due to this revolution in packaging rarely will you have to resort to the family shaking of the bottle after preparing your food which will be calling out for this tangy sauce.

I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5 only because the cost of this kind of container is not really worth it - unless you have an extremely messy number of HP fans in your family.

I see that the stand-up plastic bottle contains much more and costs a lot less. So that would be my choice next time.

Having said that, it's still HP sauce and still one of the old favourites after many years. It goes with all kinds of food (well, maybe not fish!) and adds something to every meal.
