There has been a shortage of mustard in France for a year now. At British corner shop I have always managed to get good old colmans mustard. For me it is the best mustard out there. Strong in flavour with a divine taste which is good for meats or just in a cheese sandwich. It always comes with a good date so it's worth buying a few extra and stocking up your cupboards. If you have never tried it I highly recommend it.

Colman's English Mustard is a top buy. For this size jar 170gm, it is good value as it seems to last a long time. The taste is smooth, silky, and has a bite to it. If you like French mustards then this may not be to your taste as it is definitely on the hot side. Serve a dollop on top of ham when making a sandwich or corned beef. The mustard enhances the flavour of both. It is even good on top of cheese and toast and on top of cooked cauliflower, sausages, sausage rolls, Scotch eggs and of course, roast beef. Colman's is the best.

Colmans English Mustard is absolutely indispensable for traditional Norwegian Yuletide fares like lutefisk and ribbed pork rib, but is also excellent for year-round use, to accompany a wide variety of dishes, from gourmet meat to hotdogs. Probably the most full flavoured mustard in the world. I prefer the large size, it never gets old.

We've always used Coleman's mustard, both at home in the UK and here in the USA. For some reason it is readily available here in the USA. Not in every size and form, but available in both ready to eat mustard and mustard powder. I guess there are some things that the Americans learned from the British, don't mess with our mustard!!

5 starsShannon from Germany on

As delicious as you remember! Nothing beats Colman's English Mustard. It is fantastic on a sandwich, with roast beef, in sauces, to make devilled eggs, on hamburgers, with fish... the possibilities are endless. Our favourite use for Colman's English Mustard around our house? To make Honey Mustard chicken wings- scrummy!

5 starsThomas from Finland on

To be honest, Colman's English Mustard is one the best British products that exist. Whenever I visit the UK, I always buy several tins. The nearest equivalent to this would probably be French mustard, however, they still don't taste as good enough.

Colman's is great with sausages, meat or sandwiches and it can also be used to spice up food.

I hate to admit, but I only tried English mustard for the first time just over a year ago on my trip to UK! As a huge fan of mustard, I can't believe it took me so long and I've lived without it before then! It's sharp, spicy (but with a Dijon-like bite) and amazing on anything. Great addition to sandwiches, sauces, dressings... everything!

Colmans English Mustard large size is excellent value for money at the moment with the Price drop from BCS.

This versatile Mustard is a must for every dinner table for cold meats ETC.

We always use Colmans mustard in marinades and dressings to enhance the flavour of meat and fish.

But be careful, it's hot.

We simply cannot do without English mustard at home and Colmans is an excellent brand. Full flavoured, smooth and delicious, perfect accompaniment to cold meats or as a base for home made dressings and garnishes. I make a delicious mustard crust for fresh salmon with this brand and would never be without it.
