The holidays are never complete without the British classic dinner mint Nestle After Eight Mints. I always used to receive a box of these decadent mints in my Christmas hamper every year. Thick, dark chocolate encapsulates a rich, creamy, mint fondant center. As soon as you bite through the chocolate, you hear a snap and the minty center hits your tongue. It is so refreshing and luxurious. Perfect for the holidays!

These bring back very happy memories of Xmas in England and always try to have them here in the USA when we are here for the holidays, a real treat and just a fantastic taste of home that stirs up memories, they are just the best quality and you do not need many to feel like you are having a real treat although I can eat a whole box The problem now is resisting until the holidays

Always a favourite in our family household and never last very long! They go well with a hot cup of tea. There is nothing like these anywhere in the world, just cheap imitations. Unfortunatelt they don't always travel well and are often stuck to the inside of the individual packets losing half the contents! That won't stop me buying them, though, as there's nothing else that comes close to their unique taste

These chocolates are always appropriate for any occasion after dinner party mint or just a treat on a night in on the sofa! Very addictive, you can go on eating and not realize until there is nothing left in the box. Very tasty perfectly sized little minty bites. Also great if you keep them in the feeder for a while it makes them even more cooling and a little twist on the classic after eight!

You really can't eat just one, but I really try to make them last. The are perfect after dinner when you only have room for a wafer thin mint!
Danielle from Madeira
As a child my mother used to have a box of After Eights around Christmas and I always loved being treated to one. I thought they was so sophisticated and the minty chocolate flavour tasted like Christmas. These are great year round and for all occasions but for me they are best shared late on Christmas Eve with a close family member.

After eight mints are my all time favourite chocolates and are often my downfall with me happily devouring a box in one sitting. The dark chocolate outer perfectly compliments the silky smooth mint filling literally melting in your mouth. They are great to have out at a party, coming individually wrapped in their own pockets so perfect for guest to pick up and enjoy and be impressed by.

Deliciously minty and cool with a thin chocolate coating. The mint is a soft and oozing type of filling, as opposed to a hard fondant. A nice sized square of pure delight, yet if you go for another one or two you haven't quite ruined the diet you were on. There are but a few calories in each piece so you can indulge in a few now and then.
Eileen from Canada
We always have a box of After Eight mints at Christmas, they are a tradition that began when I was very small. These mints are highly addictive, dark thin chocolate and a minty fondant centre.
When I host a dinner party I always have them on hand and am ashamed to admit I generally buy two boxes and so keep one for myself.
Emily from UK - England
These remind me so much of Christmas and the great debates that we'd have about having eaten the mint thins, whether you throw away the packet or you put it back in the box. (Personally, I leave it in the box for that unsuspecting person to go and get one and there are none left. I am mean like that.)
Maria Teresa from Italy
Nestle After Eight Mints are WONDERFUL. Everything is right about them. The shape, the taste, the box and the price. Just because something has been around for years, doesn't mean it has to have a facelift. They're are fantastic and I love them.
Thomas from Finland
After Eight are good tasting mints that in my opinion are especially well tasting together with coffee. I often have one of these as a dessert, together with an espresso.
These are also considered very nice to serve, at least by my guests. Therefore, sometimes if I have friends over for a coffee and I am not planning on serving anything special, I buy a box of After Eight and everyone's happy.
Ian from Germany
When I was growing up these were my favourite form of chocolate. Unfortunately now either my tastes have massively changed or the ingredients of these mints have changed.
I used to love the minty white soft centre and the way it slowly dripped slowly like slime out of the chocolatey surroundings.
Caterina from France
Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without After Eight Mints. They were once considered as being very sophisticated so I suppose that's why we only ever had them in the festive season. For those few who have never tried them, After Eights are thin squares of dark chocolate with a mint flavoured cream filling. They come in little paper envelopes, all lined up in a wonderfully mint scented rectangular box. Only 35 calories per chocolate. Beware of the sticky centre if you have sensitive teeth.
Bruna from Italy
This box should carry a warning sign 'Attention: Might Cause Addiction'! All I can say is that it's just as well Rowntree did not use the 24 hour clock when they chose the name After Eights. I mean, even if they were called After TwentyTwos, I'd still eat them from 8 in the morning 'til evening, just like I do now! After all, I'm only following their instructions... after eight! Seriously though, Rowntree deserve a medal for keeping their chocolates at such a low price. By doing so, they allow everyone to indulge in these delicious dark wafer thins, with their creamy, mint center. The black and gold envelope that holds each AfterEight is so rich and luxurious that it never fails to impress. This size box holds about 24 chocolates and once open, you risk finding your box full of little empty envelopes within minutes! Though these after dinner treats are perfect for every occasion, Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without them.
