Waitrose Hollandaise Sauce is a delicious tasty sauce made from egg yolk and melted butter, and seasoned with lemon juice, salt and a bit of white pepper. It is pale yellow in colour and it has a smooth creamy texture.

The flavour is rich and buttery, with a mild tang from the lemon juice. It is believed to be named so because the French try to mimicked a Dutch sauce to please the King of Netherlands, who came on a state visit to France .

This sauce is now most famous as the key ingredient for a delicious eggs Benedict breakfast.

As all the reviews on the Waitrose site mention, this tastes and has the texture of salad cream. It's not horrible tasting, But, it's not hollandaise. Very far from it. Sadly, as I like most Waitrose products.

excellent sauce: airy, fluffly, good taste, good colour and perfect everywhere from fish to, simply, a plain bread, better if organic. A good resources for tea and dinner, for fish and meat. You need a little to give flavour or to mix everywhere. It can stay a long time and no change consistency or produce liquid as some poor quality sauces often do.
