Product information

Waitrose Hollandaise Sauce is a delicious tasty sauce made from egg yolk and melted butter, and seasoned with lemon juice, salt and a bit of white pepper. It is pale yellow in colour and it has a smooth creamy texture.

The flavour is rich and buttery, with a mild tang from the lemon juice. It is believed to be named so because the French try to mimicked a Dutch sauce to please the King of Netherlands, who came on a state visit to France .

This sauce is now most famous as the key ingredient for a delicious eggs Benedict breakfast.

Rapeseed Oil, Water, Pasteurised Free Range Egg Yolk (8%), White Wine Vinegar, Clarified Butter (Milk) (5%), Sugar, Salt, Concentrated Lemon Juice, Stabiliser Xanthan Gum, Preservative Potassium Sorbate, Yellow Mustard Flour, Spirit Vinegar, Lactose (Milk), Colour Carotenes, Modified Tapioca Starch, Potato Maltodextrin, Brown Mustard Flour, Butterfat (Milk), Mustard Flour Bran.

Storage Instructions

1. Once opened, keep refrigerate below 5°C and consume within 6 weeks. For best before end date see cap.
