Incredibly easy to make perfect gravy with these granules, the taste is sublime and complements any roast dinner, pie and mash, a plate of chips or sausages and onions! What passes for gravy here in Germany is dirty dish water, so thank heavens for the British Corner Shop with the products you need, and a service better than any other we have used in the 25 years we have been here!Bisto rocks, and so will your meals with this little gem.
Anyone from the UK loves this stuff! Living in Norway is great, but certain things are just missing from life...Bisto gravy being one of them! Instant, fresh tasting gravy granules. Totally easy to use just adding water. Even my Norwegian family love it they have roast dinners forced on them every Sunday. Although meat sauces exist here, nothing beats Bisto ...ahhh Bisto
Living in Italy it is impossible to find a gravy like Bisto, it is an essential to add to the Yorkshire puddings with our regular roast dinners at home!
No doubt about it, this is the best. I hate to admit I rarely make homemade gravy any more. This is so fast and easy and tastes so excellent I don't have to. The texture is smooth and blends quickly so that your ready to go in no time. Add over sausages, meat pies, Yorkshire Pudding even veggies and enjoy. The other flavours are just as good.

Two words: so good! Probably the best instant gravy out there. I love that it dissolves very easily so that there's no stubborn lump even when I make it thick. It's really tasty as is but sometimes I like to add a little salt and pepper with mushroom and onion.
I always like to have a can of Bid to gravy . It can really help to add a richness to any meat gravy. Even if you have made gravy from pan drippings, a couple of spoons round it out, adds colour and helps thicken. What more can you ask if a product. This is why it's been kitchen staple for generations.
I remembered this gravy growing up in England missed it, I can make great gravy but why when this is so easy to make also the price for a 1 pound box is cheap. Save veggie stock and add Bisto gravy mix to it bring to a boil and presto delish gravy. I sometimes add saute onions.
One of the main things I miss from the UK is proper gravy. This is a great way to stop the craving. Bisto is an amazing product.

This it the most wonderful product I have discovered in a long time. It is the easiest way to make a delicious homemade gravy without the need of cooking or putting kitchen appliances in the middle. All of you need is boiling water and a pot of bisto gravy granules. Additionally, you can prepare the sauce to your liking by adding more granules if you want to make it thicker. Ideal for all types of meats and on mashed potatoes too.
When I moved from the UK to the USA the first thing I noticed was no Bisto and that was not going to work for me so was glad to find this company that could keep me stocked up. Unless you have tried it, you will soon realize that mashed potatoes covered in this gravy is second to none My wife, who is American, always makes sure we never run out of such delicious gravy.

If you havent got time to make your own gravy then this is an excellent substitute. I order it every time I place an order with British Corner Shop. It mixes up so easily with just boiling water and I never get lumps. Its rich and meaty without being too salty. If you add it to caramelized onions it makes a lovely rich onion gravy.
After 40 years I still remember the disdain a French lad used when translating gravy as "sauce". It shocked me to my Little English roots. Gravy is part of being British and Bisto gravy was made by me as one of my earliest memories at my mothers knee. There will always be this part of England wherever one travels.
For some reason I haven't been able to get my grandchildren to like baked beans but they sure are hooked on Bisto gravy.

I live in Finland and they do nothing that resembles gravy. I would make it myself, but what's the point when Bisto is just as good and easier to make. I have it on a Sunday roast and on fish and chips as I am a northerner and a little odd ;).
A Sunday roast just wouldn't be the same without Bisto, the simplest and quickest way to add yummy gravy to any meal. It's also a firm favorite in our house smothered on chips and potatoes. Finding this on BCS means I can quickly make up some gravy for any meal with no planning ahead needed.
I simply have to keep this in my cupboard for the convenience and for the taste. Bisto still has a great taste, but I do feel that the product has changed over the years. Having said that, I still buy it and use it for shepard's pie, usually with a dash of Worcestershire sauce.
Not as good as the original Bisto powder, but easier to use and quicker. There's something slightly different about the taste, but it's still delicious and something I would never be without. Just add to your meat juices and water or to your stew, and let thicken.

It's great on your roast and totally yummy on chips. I even craved this during pregnancy and would just drink it out of a cup!
I used to use this quite a lot. Its main advantage is, of course, convenience. But after a while my family got a bit tired of it, as the nostalgia for real gravy slowly returned.
I might add that I don't do the cooking any more, they cook for themselves, and they have returned to the real thing.

Bisto Gravy Granules are a must for your kitchen cupboard, I ran out and had to wait for my order from BCS to arrive and I am afraid that what the Germans call gravy is like tasteless water to us Brits. So Keep a stock of Bisto Products in the cupboard you cant beat them.
Living in Germany I am often disappointed at the quality of the gravy that I can find. It has been far too long since I last had some decent gravy until I discovered this on BCS.

Aaahhh Bisto! I do not know where I would be without this in my cupboard. It truly is the easiest thing to make gravy. I always have to have a stock of it in the cupboard and my US friends are always pretty wow'ed by it as you can not buy anything like it here in the US. To avoid lumpy bisto dissolve the granules in a little bit of cold water first before adding the hot water. Stops all lumps.
It's strange to think that once upon a time housewives used to make gravy themselves, using just the meat juices and so on. It must have made such a difference when Bisto was invented! You simply add the granules to your meat juices and water to make up a delicious smooth gravy. It couldn't be easier.
Like a true Northerner I find that after a night out you can't beat a portion of chips, cheese and gravy.
While I don't recommend coming in drunk, flicking the oven on and making it - there certainly is nothing better than making up a batch using Bisto gravy granules. The original (beef) ones are my favourite as they're slightly richer and they give more of a warmth.
Bisto Gravy; what can you say that has not been said before? Quite a lot really.
There are several ways to really enhance the taste slightly. One of them that I have tried and really enjoyed is to add a splash of vinegar to the gravy and stir well. It just gives it an extra bit of flavour.
A word of warning though; don't go overboard with the vinegar, just add a little then taste it.
Instead of vinegar you could try a splash of Worcestershire Sauce, especially to cottage pies.
This is the best gravy granules that are on the market in my opinion. I have been using them for years now and won't change for anything else.Only once I made a mistake of buying tesco value. Nobody wanted to eat lunch that day ha ha ha... Great taste and texture,easy to do.
Unlike cheaper alternatives, Bisto gravy granules dissolves completely so you never have lumpy gravy. You can add different ratios of powder to water depending on how thick you like your gravy. Beef flavour seems to go perfectly with most meals but you can also buy different ones such as turkey or vegetable which are just as good! Top quality tasty gravy.

Bisto gravy is an absolute kitchen essential. Gravy is used in many everyday traditional recipes such as cottages pies, toad in the hole, bangers and mash and the mighty Sunday roasts. A good thing about using gravy granules is that you can adjust the thickness of the sauce to your liking by adding more or less water.
The Americans and the Canadians don't produce anything like Bisto gravy granules. They don't know what they are missing. I would definitely say there was a market for it over in the USA and Canada.
