One of our Coles branded products.
Fabulous, probably the best Christmas pudding I've ever had frankly even surpassing my one attempt at making my own!. Even my Slovak family in law liked it, and my husband has requested that we always buy Cole's puddings from now on. I was a little bit disappointed that the sixpence wasn't inserted into the pudding itself, but I suppose it's for health and safety reasons.
Don't get me wrong: I love Christmas Pudding! What I don't like is when the candied fruit are so hard that it's like biting on shell shot in a badly dressed pheasant! Cole's have got their recipe just right, not just the taste, the texture too. With a good helping of Brandy sauce homemade, as BCS doesn't offer it... yet! This pudding goes down a treat! The added extravagance of the Sixpence is an excellent touch be it as a reminder of the good ole days for Grandma or an explanation of past history to her greatgrandchildren.
