Product reviews
I grew up eating this cereal and I love it till this day. Probably my favourite thing about them is that they're neutral-tasting not sweet, nor overwhelming and the corn flavour is very subtle too. It's a perfect balance between everything. I like my cereal a bit mushier, so these are perfect for me they do get soggy pretty quick. Hands down one of the best cereals that are out there - nostalgic, neutral and a little healthier. In the end, simplicity is the key!
Great product at a fair price, cornflakes have always been a favorite of mine for what must be decades now.
I have always enjoyed cornflakes for my cereal. However, the ones in the U.S although a U.S brand, does not taste the same as the British version. The taste is different i believe has more sugar in it. I have missed the British ones, and I am glad to be able to get some from here. My daughter can also enjoy the British taste.
Kellogs Cornflakes are the all time original crispy breakfast cereal. They are by far superior to the imitation cereals. They are, in addition, wonderful when crunched up and scattered over an oven dish before baking. I have also tried them when making a crispy chocolate treat and found the result very satisfying.
This is probably one of the earliest manufactured cereals to hit the market, after oatmeal porridge!
You have to eat it pretty fast if you don't want it to get soggy from the milk. If you like it the way I do, you won't have the problem; by the handful, straight out of the box, with nothing added and nothing taken away.
I also use them as a coating for chicken nuggets, which I just crunch to smaller bits, (not powdered as in the cornflakes crumbs) and coat little pieces of cut up chicken in a mix of mayo and mustard, and then coat them with the corn flakes and bake in the oven. Much better than fried and they DO come out crispy, too! You can also do this with fish. Of course, you can add any other spices to the mayo/mustard dip first.
Kellogg's cornflakes are one of my most enjoyable breakfast choices. The flakes are crunchy and they are rather like sun shine in a bowl.
When I was pregnant with my last child I craved cornflakes and cold milk, breakfast, lunch, dinner, in the middle of the night, I ate them all the time. Strange really because I never had cravings with the first two pregnancies.
My son (the one I was pregnant with) eats cereal but dislikes cornflakes!.
I don't usually let a brand name sway me, but this is the exception. Cornflakes have to be Kellogg's. They're tasty and crunchy and last well as they're well packaged. With the addition of sliced banana, some stewed apple or prunes, and of course milk, I know there's a good breakfast on the table.
Kellogs Cornflakes has always been my 'safe bet' cereal. Nowadays, with all the fancy cereals that fill supermarket shelves, I still come back to cornflakes, always! When you dig into a bowl of cornflakes that you haven't tasted for a while, you suddenly remember how good they are. Light flakes of fragrant corn, crisp, crunchy with their lovely bright colour, so golden it reminds you off a sunny day. My favourite addition to Kellogs Cornflakes is sliced, fresh banana and ice cold milk.
Yes, eat them fast, they are really awful when soggy. But then it's something worth working at. I once knew a young man who went on a diet of only corn flakes and milk - not sure how nourishing that is but he certainly lost weight. You can't really beat the plain, original, crunchy taste - just be quick!
Hey guys. Wow here we have one of my favourite breakfast cereals when I was a kid. I had it every morning when just before school. I do share Ian's opinion.
Why does nobody review this fantastic product? I loved them. Just add some milk and eat them quickly when they are crunchy.
I am surprised that nobody else has submitted a review yet for Kelloggs Cornflakes.
They are a classic breakfast cereal and a staple in most households.
Many others have tried and miserably failed to reproduce their crunchiness.
Even universities have researched why Cornflakes go soggy after milk has been poured on them.
They are a fascinating cereal with a crunch - provided you eat them fast!
