Rowntrees fruit pastilles as old as the hills byt still as popular!! such a fruity little sweetwith a wonderful sugar coating not at all sickly and a great alternative to chocolate!! with rowntrees fruit pastilles you can actually tell which fuit it is unlike other brands and as the tv ad said is it possible to eat a pastille without chewing

When I want something sweet and I'm not in the mood for chocolate, Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles are my go-to treat. The fruit flavours are wonderful and not at all sickly. I'm partial to the blackcurrant flavour, myself. The roll is a perfect size for keeping in your handbag or popping into a lunch box. If you haven't given these a go, you definitely need to add these bad boys to your cart immediately!

I love these sweets, especially the blackcurrant ones!
They're small, round, pastilles, about the size of two pound coins stacked on one another, and come in five flavours. Each pastille has a very pleasantly firm, chewy jelly texture, and comes with a crystalline layer of sugar on the outside.
It's almost impossible not to love them, and as the old advertising slogan went, I bet you can't resist chewing (I know I can't!).

Fruit Pastilles used to keep my family in competition to see who could eat one without chewing.
I am sure this was a slogan that parents loved up and down the country as it kept there children entertained and more importantly quiet for 5 minutes.
I like to variety of colours and tastes and thought they were highly addictive. I can't wait for my next pack.

My nan always kept a pack of these in her handbag to keep us quiet while she was shopping. They really are a juicy little treat that'll make your mouth water. More like an American hard gum than a true jelly sweet, which is why it's so hard to chew them. I still haven't found a pack that doesn't have purple at one end, so I'll have to keep buying them.

When I was a kid you couldn't buy a packet of these without trying out the famous slogan "Bet you can't put one of these in your mouth without chewing!"

Rowntrees Fruit Pastilles are one of my favourite sweets. They are chewy yet firm and I love the natural fruit flavour.
My favourite are the purple and the green ones, but there are never enough of those so I end up bickering with my partner on who will get them!
