Fuuny how our tastes because as a young man i detested this food!! Then quite by chance i tried it again and lo and behold o found that the taste of Ryvita original crisp bread had indeed grown on me and i actually enjoyed it small layer of butter followed by either chees or ham and i had found myself a tasty snack!! not everyones cup of tea but definitely gone up in my estimations!!

Can not do without having these in my store cupboard, there is something about having some mature cheddar cheese on a crispy Ryvita. Luckily, here in France, we can buy certain flavours of Ryvita, but sadly this is one we can't get, but thanks to British Corner Shop, we can have them !!
Randi from Norway
Ryvita Original Crisp Bread is a product I can not do without in my larder. It has such a long shelf if that I need worry if I am about to run out of bread I know I can happily turn to Ryvita. I especially enjoy it with mustard and ham.
Sue from Netherlands
Why I've not bought this until now is beyond me! It used to be a staple item in my pantry when I lived in the UK and I used to buy Ryvita instead of bread back in the '70's when my bank balance wasn't as healthy as it is now if only because I could keep the crisp bread longer than a loaf of bread.
I can still remember dipping one into a boiled egg supper or piling cottage cheese with chives for a lunch.
Sometimes the older we get the more we revert backwards to tastes and preferences of years gone by.
I can't buy Ryvita in Holland as there are way too many other brands on sale and I'm guessing it's too expensive for stores to stock. So my thanks to BCS for supplying Ryvita originals. I'll be back for more as will my daughter who found them when she was studying in London for her Masters back in 2007.

I have loved them since a child. Lots of creamy butter is the topping I love!
Ian from Germany
These Ryvita Original Crisp Bread are very nice when enjoyed with a fabulous topping. There is no way that they can be enjoyed alone as they are far too dry.
Maybe that is why they are classed as a diet food because there is no way you can eat many of them hence, if you only eat these you will lose weight.
Mariantonia from Italy
I've never like Ryvita Crisp Bread and to be honest, I have yet to encounter someone who does. Cardboard is a good description. As a girl, I used to force myself to eat them with my tub of cottage cheese, because that's what everyone else was lunching on at the time. I suffered enough then, there is no way I'll do it now. I suggest a reduced fat cream cracker if you must reduce your calories, but beware, it's the topping that counts!
Margaret from Italy
I agree with the other reviewer. I ordered these because I was one of the ones who used to eat them while dieting many many years ago. They were new then and very exotic - weren't they supposed to be Swedish, or like Swedish anyway, when everything Swedish was in vogue? Well, they have hardly any taste at all - have they changed?
I will returning to the sesame-flavoured ones double quick.
Christopher from UK - England
I do not, in any way shape or form, understand why these were touted as a great diet food.
While being reasonably low in calories (but not so low as to be great), you then need to add your own toppings/flavours otherwise they taste like cardboard.
Yes, they may be nice with Philadelphia spread and some pancetta, but when you're dieting, you're trying not to eat that many calories. These just defeat the point in my book.
