I haven't been able to find bovril in ages. In Singapore we only have the vegetarian version so guess how happy I was to find the beef bovril. Price wise, it's only slightly more expensive worth it!. It was very well packaged. The box was really battered when it arrived even though it was labelled fragile but the bubble wrap kept it safe. The cap had loosened though, probably from air pressure, and it leaked so I lost 12 tablespoonfuls. I love it with cheese on toast, or with butter on fresh bread. Sooooo good.

Bovril has changed my life. It is the best condiment you could add to any dish. Take it from a head chef at a Michelin star restaurant, it takes the flavour up A LEVEL. Hit me up for any recipe ideas

Love the Bovril. I have at least one cup a day usually when I wake up at night and need a drink. Can't buy this stuff in Normandy, I don't know why as it is full of vitamin D a thing hidden from citizens by the lack of sun in the winter period.

An oldie but a goodie! Loved by kids and the whole family, it's an ideal quick snack come to drink during the colder water months. It's so easy to prepare and I often have it after a long run providing me with some protein and lots of salts and it's just so delicious.

I love bovril on toast. Much better than marmite. Also good with some proper British cheese and crackers

I absolutely love this stuff. I'd been seeing it mentioned in books and films since I was a child and finally got some about ten years ago. This is the real thing which is not available in the U.S. it is not the same as the Bovrite which is all one can buy here as a substitute. I have some as a hot drink nearly every day, and I add it to soups and stews for both flavour and color. The shipping charge is worth it to me. I also ordered the Chicken Bovril in my most recent order which I have not yet tried.

Unlike the other reviewers here, I didn't grow up drinking Bovril. In fact I had never tried it until well into my 20s! However I was hooked from the first sip. It's so comfortingly warm, especially when it's cold and raining outside! After reading about adding milk in it on Google I decided to give it a try and I actually liked it! I only put a splash of milk but it made a big difference. I can't say which one I prefer, both are good in their own ways.

It is no longer sold in Singapore and I am eager to get my hands on some bottles. Bovril is my comfort food and I am now 76 years old. When I gave birth to my eldest boy in a maternity hospital, I brought along my own 250 gm bottle of Bovril to add to all my meals . My eldest is now 50 years old and all my children are fans of Bovril. After finding out who the distributor is, through a search machine, I am now trying to buy some bottles from the British Corner Shop, but not too happy with the high delivery charges, though.Lau KH, Singapore

Years ago when I lived in the UK I used to commute to London (oh how I miss that haha). In the winter friends and I use to get a cup of hot bovril from the train buffet to keep out the cold. It was served in plastic cups which partially melted with the heat. Good old British Rail!!
Now thanks to BCS I can enjoy a hot rich beefy drink to remind me of the past.

I cannot live without Bovril! In my 50 years in the United States, I have spent a small - or possibly medium - fortune having it shipped to me in Texas. I consider it a health food, as well as being delicious on toast, bagels, a hot drink when you're not feeling well, or added to homemade soups.
Anne Marie from United States
My whole family loves this product. I have had it all my life. Pity I cannot find it here in the US.
Maria Teresa from Italy
I give this product 5 stars because it is the best of its kind. A real landmark of English kitchens, it has its place in many hearts. A hot cup of Bovril has satisfied people of all ages in so many different situations. Good and beefy it is.. but I do find it a bit too overpowering in a dish.
Caterina from France
Still as delicious as it used to be, thank goodness! I remember taking flasks of Bovril to school on rainy winter days, or to the swimming pool. My mum used to give us bovril when we had a cold and it really did make us feel better. Great for when you're on a diet, too.
Lisa from Australia
This is so much better than the vegetarian version! I love it on hot buttered toast or as a warming drink, I also use it to flavour casseroles- a family winner!!
