Product information
You either love it or you hate it! Marmite is one of the most popular British products and has been loved/hated since 1902. Although this is the Marmite small, it still has the same dark brown look and iconic taste.
Marmite can be added to casseroles, spaghetti bolognaise and other recipes meaning it isn't only for toast. The small pot of 125g is perfect size for taking on holiday, meaning you can have a bit of home wherever you are.
Please note that we cannot sell Marmite products to Australia or New Zealand.
Most popular with customers in Italy, France, United States of America (USA), Spain, Sweden, Denmark, Greece, Germany and Korea Republic of, but you can buy Marmite Small for delivery worldwide.

Nothhing better than a cheese sarnie with a light covering of marmite to spice up the whole eating event!! whilst i admit marmite is an acquired taste it is a taste i enjoyed from an early age and still do to this day!! great on toast or freshly buttered crumpets!! i also add it to a beef stew which gives it just that little extra kick!! great product love it

I finally decided to try Marmite, after removing it several times from my basket. I actually like it more than I thought I would. As with the other reviews, use sparingly on toast after applying butter. It gives a faint savory taste which is what I like about it. I am going to cook with it next, to see if it adds a little kick to my recipes.

It is definitely a distinctive flavour, one you can't really describe except for it being very salty and a little bit bitter. A very small amount must be used in toast, then its tolerable to the point if being pleasant, actually works well as a breakfast spread. The small jar is good if you just want to try it, go with 125g version not the 50g as the value on that is really poor. Definitely a thing to try at least once. 4 stars because the value is less than the other versions.

Well, either you love it or you hate it. I hated it on toast, the taste is too salty and... weird. But on the other hand, I used it to cook: as a substitute for bone broth, in gravy, in soups... and what a change!! I kind of liked it there. Is not something I'm going to use on a daily basis, but it doesn't hurt to have it on my shelf.

Honestly, I hated this. I have always heard about Marmite and I've been pretty excited to try it but I sadly, I had to spit it out immediately. It tasted like they made bacon grease into a tarlike consistency and then put it in a jar. My grandpa actually loved this, so I guess that shows how different peoples taste buds are.
Deborah from Sweden
I hate this stuff. It tastes awful, disgusting and it is just plain weird. Unfortunately, my husband loves it. He thinks there is nothing like it (that part I agree with). The adverts are right - you either hate it or love it. I hate it, he loves it, so I guess I have to buy more! However we both agree that the small jar is not good value.

It's defiinitely an acquired taste, something you grow up with and takes you back in time.Great plain on toast and fab with cheesy beans or poached egg. It is very salty so you only need a tiny bit. I often use it as a healthier alternative to stock cubes in soups.
Constanza from Chile
Either you love it or hate it. I personally love it, it's great on a buttered toast (I recommend butter without salt) you need to use a little bit since it's really salty. It's also great on spaghetti, you can search the recipe on the web, it's like my comfort food. Will order a larger size next time.
Nuala from Italy
The product is excellent but this small size is really not so good value. Even if you only eat it once in a while, it makes more sense to get a bigger size. It never seems to go off. I just keep it in the cupboard and use it a couple of times a week.
Caterina from France
Marmite is a thick, dark brown spread with a very distinctive salty taste. Although it's 100% vegetarian, its flavour is similar to meat extract, in fact it can be used in the same way as Bovril to make a hot drink or to add flavour to casseroles. I personally quite like it and it's an excellent source of B12 and other important vitamins.

Well, they say you either love it or hate it, and I have to say this is the closest I have come to hating a food product in my life!
In fact, I would go so far as to say that this is not a food product, this is tar that should be on roads... Yuck, if you want something for your toast, stick with jam!
