Schwartz chinese 5 spice seasoning is simply a nust for anyone that enjoys asian cuisine and not only does it add exceptional flavour to the food it fills the kitchen with a wonderful aroma!! Added to the cooking process you will soon find out that you dont require lots of the seasoning to to give an added bonus to the already amazing food

As summer approaches, I am starting to prepare for barbecue season by stocking up on marinades, rubs and seasoning. I like to make my own chicken skewers or marinated beef and Schwartz Chinese five spice is a key ingredient in a lot of my recipes, I could not live without it!

I really missed this product over here in Spain, and have been putting it in almost everything savoury that I cook! The blend of the five major spices are in perfect harmony, although I wouldn't expect anything less from Schwartz! Like Mariantonia, this is the best brand I've found to date!

Schwartz Chinese 5 Spice seasoning is the best I've found so far. Perfect blend of spices to recreate authentic Chinese cuisine at home. One must remember that the spices need to be fried and not simply mixed into noodle or rice dishes, or it will not release its full flavour and may even be quite bitter. One teaspoon is usually enough in any dish.

Chinese 5 Spice is a must in any kitchen. It can be used in a massive amount of recipes. It looks stylish in its little container and more importantly comes out easily when you need it to.

It has an authentic Chinese smell and will put that missing spice into your meals.

I was surprised to find that the smell of Schwartz Chinese 5 Spice Seasoning actually did take me back to the days of a wonderful period spent in China as a youngster.

This is a perfect, authentic blend of spices, great for re-creating oriental dishes in your own home. Other brands do not quite come up to standard, but Schwartz have obviously done their homework here. The best I've found so far.

This is a very good quality blend, as you would expect from Schwartz. As well as the 'famous five' - fennel seed, ginger, ground cinnamon, star anise and cloves - the other ingredients are black pepper, dried garlic, onion granules, salt and sugar. It's from Schwartz's Perfect Shake range, so you can sprinkle on food before cooking, use it in sauces or marinades, or even add it last minute. It's very versatile and a quick and easy way to add a taste of China to your meals.
