It is ready in a matter of minutes and makes a wonderful accompaniment to poultry, fish, or any main dish. The rice is quite flavorful with pieces of dried vegetables mixed in. Fluff up the rice with a fork prior to serving and you've got yourself a nice meal.

Bachelor's savory rice is a great stand by cupboard essential. It's more flavoursome than plain rice and makes an ideal side accompaniment to grilled chicken breast, or fish, in place of potatoes. It is just as tasty served cold the next day, and accompanies a green salad nicely. The water is absorbed into the rice and there is no straining, it's very easy to make.
