Will start off by saying that im a massive Marmite fan and was talked into trying Kraft vegemite yeast extract!!! tried it in toast fresh crusty bread muffins and crumpets and i have to say its not for me!!! each to their own i suppose but at least i can say i tried it but will not try anymore if Marmite is out of stock i will wait!! sorry

I really love Vegemite. I wasn't expecting to ever be able to taste it because Australia is very far from my country but I was so pleasantly surprised when I saw it on this page! The taste is really strong, but I love how it changes from salty to bitter and then sweet, caramel-like in one second. I love it on toast with some butter. I recommend it to Marmite lovers because it is so similar but still special in its own way.

This stuff does not look great at first sight, but tasting it: a bit salty with some nice aftertaste in small doses. It is actually great as a spread, but my favorite use for it: to flavour dishes. It goes pretty much with anything: meat, veggies, pasta...So this a great product, slightly less strong than marmite, and you should have either around to give some extra punch to even the most simples dishes or those last-minute meals!

I tried Vegemite for the first time ever last week, and I thought it's just okay. This past week I've been having it for breakfast everyday on toast and it definitely has grown on me and now I think I love it! It's best to spread it thin because it has such a strong taste, and it doesn't exactly taste like marmite. The texture is much thicker too compared with marmite.

My husband started loving Vegemite when he was travelling around New Zealand a few years ago. He said that it was definitely one of the best things he tried while being there. Then he tried Marmite which I introduced to him and he couldn't decide which one is better. Vegemite has a great very strong taste and is delicious on toast with cheese and onion!

Vegemite is a delicious and healthy spread to have on a slice of toast, or with crackers. It has a very strong, acquired taste but paired with a thin layer of margarine or butter, it doesn't get any better! Definitely something to try if you are looking for something delicious but different!

I ordered Vegemite out of curiosity, assuming that, being a Marmite lover, I would have loved it from the beginning.
Well, if Marmite is an acquired taste, Vegemite is even more an acquired taste! They are similar but the texture is different (Marmite is runnier) and the taste is not identical. At the beginning I did not like it because the taste was too strong, but then I realized that the best way to enjoy it is spreading it thinly on some bread with butter or margarine. Heavenly!

I'm a fan of both Marmite and Vegemite and I cannot live one day without either of them. A little bit of Vegemite spread sparingly on buttered toast with a cup of breakfast tea, this is the breakfast that nothing can come even a bit close to.

Having been privileged to have a long happy childhood in Australia, Vegemite was introduced more or less with mother's milk. I still enjoy it just as much and really appreciate being able to buy it in this shop. When spread thinly on a scraping of butter on toast it is a savoury delight. It also goes a long way!
