My grandmother always used this flour exclusively I have followed her lead for the past sixty years. McDougalls flour is a soft, high quality, baking flour and makes excellent pastries, crumbles, scones and Victoria sponges. It is super sifted, which means it will fall through any sieve and really does not require sifting. It is a soft flour, not a bread flour you need a high protein and gluten flour for breadmaking but makes excellent soda bread in an emergency. You will love this flour. You've tried the rest, now buy the best!

I am an avid baker and love a good Victoria sponge cake with a cup of tea. After moving to Poland for a year and finding out that self raising flour is just not a thing here, this product became my new go too. The ease of having it delivered safely gives me piece of mind, and not to mention now I have delicious fluffy cakes that rise and are not flat as pancakes. Bring on the next delivery. !! I was delighted to find McDougalls Self Raising flour for sale, as I have used an Italian equivalent flour for an English recipe and the resulting cake is dense with a strong bicarbonate taste. I get so many compliments for my English Cakes thanks to McDougalls Self Raising flour, because the resulting cakes taste so good.

This flour is perfect for baking sponges, scones and even biscuits. It's light and easy to work with and gives perfect results every time. It's not easy to find flour of this type or quality in some places, so it is a pleasure to find it easily available here on BCS!

The equivalent to self raising flour in Italy falls flat...literally!

I really do wish I found out that this product was on offer prior to finalising my most recent order (that was dispatched today) as I am a massive fan of this fantastic Self Raising Flour from McDougalls.

It is large in size - although the picture shows 1.25kgs yet this product is 1.5kgs.

This flour can be used for a multitude of recipes and when you live in a country where it can be hard to source such products this is a god send.

I was very happy to be able to purchase a very large bag of McDougalls Self Raising Flour as I actually do a lot of home baking. Where I live, self-raising flour is not easily available and is considered 'special', so to save having to add the exact quantity of raising agent, I often use my supply of UK flour. McDougalls flour is always light, airy and very white, perfect baking every time.
