Perfect texture and flavour. I love them as a snack when I need a boost of energy. Thay are not too dry, as far as oatcakes go, and they don't choke you if you eat them plain, like many others do. Great accompaniment for appetizers, too butter and salmon are delicious upon these.

I'm going to try these next time. I loved their rough oat cakes, but I want to know the difference between the two. Sometimes you want an oat cake which is not too thick to go with spreads and soft cheeses, and this looks just right.
You can also use thin slices of salami or ham.

I find that the fine mill of the oats in these oatcakes make them an excellent accompaniment with cheeses and pates. I have used them often for a new years eve celebration and also for 'Burns night celebration. Being a Scottish product, it makes the celebration more authentic and tasty.
